Lots going on!

The days just seem to fly by. It is so hard to believe that Zach is almost 23 months old! He finally did pop a small part of another tooth through this week. The I tooth on the upper right (if you are looking directly at him). The one below that should be coming in any day now. We also figured out he probably has an allergy to strawberries. He continues to be very active and is definitely showing signs of wanting to be independent and express his opinion!
I am also happy to report that he has finally said a few words besides 'mama', 'dada', 'nana' and 'pop'! He said "this", "yes", 'toes' and "cow". He also tried to say 'aunt' and 'auntie', and 'Zach'. I hope this means he is moving in the right direction with his speech and that new words will be coming regularly.

Brian started working night shifts a week ago at Dow. It is a 3 to 4 week job which is a good start. We are hoping this union he switched two will have regular job opportunities for him. So, everyone keep your fingers crossed!

Here are some recent pics from different events. The first set is from a newer indoor play ground that is in Sherwood Park. Zach and Kaylyn had a blast! Too bad I didn't find out about it earlier...they opened last September and kids under 2 are free! Once he turns two I have to pay....which kind of sucks. But, we can spend all day in there if wanted to. There are also arcade like games that you have to use tokens to play and then you get prices. This part is similar to the old Bullwinkles we had in North Edmonton in the 1980's!

The second set of pictures is of his new raincoat! He didn't want to take it off! Well, kind of perfect timing considering he had a water gun in his hand!!

PRESENT!!

Was Zach ever excited when we got home tonight....Brian put together his new toy kitchen today! Brian was blocking most of it when we came in the door, but the view was just enough for him to start squeeling with delight and running like a bolt of lightening. When I told him to take his jacket off, he did it in record time. He was so excited he almost didn't know what to do with himself. He went over and hugged Brian...almost like he appreciated it...a thank you. Plus, he kept pointing to us to sit beside him and watch/play. It's amazing I got him to bed. I did let him stay up past his bedtime. We are hoping this will give us some quiet time! Thanks Mom and Dad!

Playtime!

Boy, I have been busy taking pictures and videos lately! This pics are from this past weekend. The weather is so nice that Zach is spending a lot of time outside. There is still some snow outside so he is happy. We took him out into the field across from our place and let him slap a hockey ball around. Then we went to the McDonald's playland with Kandice and Kaylyn in the hopes of tiring them out a bit more. Zach didn't quite know what to think of the slide, but went down several times. He is a bit of a dare-devil! I wish I had the camera ready for his first trip down...the look was incredible! But, the picture I did get wasn't too bad either.

Last Dance Class

Up until March 24th we had Zach in a toddler dance class for 10 weeks. He didn't really get into it until after the class ended! It was 30 minutes of craziness actually. Loud music and running/screaming toddlers. I think it was overwhelming for him at times so he really didn't do any of the actions. He is now doing them however. He likes to do "ring around the rosy" and says Ash. Here are pics from his last class. His little friend Kaylyn and her mom Kandice is in a lot of them.
