First Pool Party!!

Since the weather is so great here right now, we got his monkey pool out today. It is just great! We had such a wonderful day. Zach LOVED the pool. I have a tonne of great pictures and videos. He was upset when we finally went inside...almost 2 hours later! The time he was in the pool was the first time I've sat still that long while he has been awake in a long time!! (hope that makes sense.) Zach and Kaylyn played so well that Kandace and I got to talk, eat, and relax!

Hello! The first pic is of Zach playing with his gal pal Kaylyn. Second pic is of him riding in Kaylyn's car. The third one is a funny picture...right before I snapped the button on the camera, the sock came out of his mouth. He had been crawling around with one sock in his hand and one in his mouth. The next row has him playing with his potty, playing in the sun/shadows, and lovin' his monkey! (by the way...he doesn't have a soother, but the one in the pic with his potty is called a Raspberry soother...he is a chewing soother to help with teething. I'm surprised it is still in one piece! The last two were taken during a walk late yesterday afternoon in Kaylyn's John Deer wagon.

Lots going on!

Hi everyone! Well, Zach is officially now! It is hard to pin point the exact day of walking because he has been walking gradually for a few days now...but the first day that that he really took off was on Tuesday, June 24th! He walked around Nana and Gramp's house and ours. He all of a sudden started walking consistently when I came to pick him up after work. I cried! He walks with his hands straight up in the air! It is so funny. He is getting to be really fast. Plus, this past week he untied Nana's shoes and tried to tie them back up again!

Here are some pictures. And yes, he still likes to help with the laundry. As you can see in the last picture, he has figured out the lint vent!

Well, Zach continues to be EXTREMELY active. He is getting into everything and trying to move everything around...including furniture! He continues to walk more and more each day. He loves bubbles too!

He's getting close...this is a video from yesterday. We sort of have to bribe him a bit to get him to walk.

Hello! Zach is starting to take more and more steps by himself. We sort of have to trick him into doing it, but his walking is coming along. He took about 10 steps towards Gramp yesterday!! He always smiles and laughs when he does walk.

Finally Some Birthday Pics!

Hello. I'm really behind on getting photos online of Zach's big day. Here are some starting with him waking up that day and ending with him having ice creme for the first time. He almost seemed to like that better than the cake.

The next set of him is of him wrestling with his new Monkey. Wrestling is pretty much a daily occurance. He just loves his monkey. When we take it with us in the car, he holds onto the hand.

Cake Attack #3

This one shows you how he started throwing the cake around. He really did not get cake on his face and hair until the end when he started rubbing his face and eyes. A lot ended up on the floor! The cake was very yummy! Mom made a second cake as well for the rest of us. So good!

HE's 1 YEAR OLD!

We cannot believe our little Zach (Monkey) turned 1 yesterday! I have lots of video and pictures to post so it will be coming online gradually. He did not eat a lot of cake...he mostly wanted to throw it. We had a wonderful party with my Auntie Amy and Bruce, Bonnie, and Travis Koop who are long-time friends of the family. (I use to babysit Bruce and Bonnie's 3 kids long time ago.) We are so blessed to have Zach. He is so healthy and so entertaining! He is such a joy!

May 24th Monkey!

Zach's 2007 Halloween Costume finally fit him perfectly at the end of May. I just love how the tail swings when he walks!

We had a great time with Auntie Carolyn last week and wish she could have stayed longer. Here are a few photos from the last week. Today, Zach had a first. Unfortunately, Brian and I were at work so we did not see it. He went from a sitting position to a full standing position by himself with no help or furniture to pull up on! He stood there for a bit and then realized what he had done and down he went. He is not walking by himself yet, but continues to crawl and cruise at high speeds! We are preparing for his first birthday this Friday!! Can you believe it!
