I decided to look at my old blogsite today. I can't believe I haven't updated anything in over 2 years. Well I best get caught up. Zach is almost 5 years and continues to be crazy busy and inquisitive!

Catching Up

I have never been so behind on updating my blog!! Where does the time go. Here are some pictures from Halloween. My sister got Zach a Nasa Space (astronaut) suit. It was a big hit. He got tonnes of candy! I even dressed up, first time in yers. Ya, I think I gave my mom a heart attack! HA HA! And after Halloween, he found Daddy's Mike Meyer's mask and had some fun with it.

These are some pics from September. The lady I'm standing with in the bottom picture is Jan, she took over my position when I went on maternity leave in 2007. This picture was taken her last day, she was lucky enough to retire. The picture up above shows some of my other team members. The lady to the right of me is my boss....she is the best boss I've ever had!! The women is amazing!!

And I'm wearing my coveralls as you can see.....my "smurfs" as I call it.

More from Carolyn's Visit

When Carolyn visited in August, we went out to Boston Pizza with 2 gals we have known since grade 1 ....Darcy and Lesley. We had some drinks, a yummy meal and a great visit! The girls had not seen Carolyn in many years so it was a nice little reunion.

Wow I'm behind!

Hello everyone. I don't think I've ever been this late on updating my blog site. Summer is now over, but we continue to enjoy nice weather into October. My sister, Carolyn, came home for a visit in August. It had been a long time since she was home and it was so good to see her. Zach followed her everywhere and again was very attached to her. Here are some pictures from her visit.

Some of the pics include the RCMP Musical Ride that came to Fort Saskatcheawn; baking, time at the park, etc.

BIG SLIDE! July 25, 2010

This video was taken at Capital Ex, again, before Sesame Street. Zach loved the big slide and was a little upset when it was over. But, he was easily distracted by all the other things going on that he wasn't upset for long.

First Time "Driving" - July 25, 2010

This video was taken at Edmonton's, Capital Ex on July 25, 2010 right before we went to see the Sesame Street 1, 2, 3 show. We didn't know if Zach was old enough to get the hang of the car. He did pretty good overall. After this video was taken he did about one more lap, went into the side again, unbuckled himself and tried to get out. Thankfully the young guy running the ride was helpful and patient! Everyone standing around that Zach was adorable. I'm sure next year he will want to go on the bumper cars!

July 24/10 Bowling & Storms!

On July 24/10 Zach bowled for the first time ever! We went to a bowling place in Sherwood Park to celebrate another 3rd birthday...for Zach's friend Emery. Zach could not get enough of bowling and told everyone how he "knocked pencils down". He did very well for his first time. (It helped that they have bumpers on the side so the balls do not go into the gutters.)

The theme of the party was Curious George, which fit Zach of course to a tee, for I still call him my Monkey!

Busy July

Hello! July has been a busy month of birthday parties, thunderstorms & Edmonton's Capital Ex. I will be posting pics & videos in the next few days to show you all the excitement!

First off are pics from birthday parties for Zach's little friends Kaylyn (in June) and Maliah (in July). Bot celebrations were held at the Harbor Pool but we only used the pool at Maliah's party.

Canada Day Part 2!

Canada Day!

Canada Day was a lot of fun! I took Zach to the Canada Day breakfast at the Royal Canadian Legion. The breakfast is served by our local firefighters. Then we went to the parade where he got a BIG bag of candy & freezies. Next year I am going to bring a pillowcase...it was like Halloween! Zach was very well behaved waiting for the parade to start. It was a little chilly, but by the end, it was a very nice day. We continued to walk around all the activites in downtown Fort Sask and visited Grandpa at the Elk's bbq stand where he was helping out. I let Zach miss his nap since he was being so good. We finished off the day with an ice cream cone for Zach and a slushy for me. Zach was exhausted in the evening and got to be a bit teary-eyed. I am looking forward to next year where I'm sure Zach will have even more fun!

Catching Up

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I am behind on posting pics. (Sorry Carolyn). Here are some pics from the last several weeks including Zach "driving" Daddy's jeep; visiting Brian at NAIT on his last day at school; and playing his drum like he was in a marching band.

ZACH'S 3RD BIRTHDAY!

Zach turned 3 on June 6th. We had a great day, he was very well behaved. (I was a bit shocked...ha ha). I think the fact that we had the party outside at a park where there was lots to do and lots of room to run around he did not become too overstimulated.

We went to Price Alderson Park in the Fort, which also has a spray park. I think we had 30 people...15 of those were kids...1 being 5 and the rest babies and toddlers! It was so nice to see everyone. The weather held out until the end when we were doing gift opening. We enjoyed hot dogs, veggies, chips, wraps, fruit, cake & ice cream. The kids greatly enjoyed the pinata and the goodie bags they received. And as you can see, it was a Thomas the Train themed party. The pics at the bottom of the collage show Zach's friend Ashley. He also turned 3 on June 6th. There is a definite size difference between the two, always has been. Ashley is a lot taller and around 22 pounds heavier! I'm glad we were able to celebrate his birthday as well.

This was Zach's first "big" birthday party and I think it was a success. Can't wait to do it all again next year.

May 29th Snow Storm

On May 29th we had some interesting weather! We ended up getting rain that turned into snow. There were times when the snowflakes were huge!! It looked really fluffy outside I guess you could say. There was wind too which make it seem much colder. I felt a little Christmasey for a bit!!

Luckily, this weather did not stick around. Here are some pics and videos from this weather system. (If I recall...Calgary got a lot more snow than we did...that always seems to be happen!) :)

Hait Cut

Brian cut Zach's hair yesterday. He had this big curl in the front and a long skinny piece of hair in the back...almost like a tail. Zach asked for his hair to be cut, but then got upset and scared when looking in the mirror after. We don't see his hair much since he has to wear his hat all the time!

Dad's 65th Birthday

Dad turned 65 on Saturday, May 8th. He got to eat his favourite Chinese food and cake...Dairy Queen original Ice Cream Cake!
